Know someone who loves to travel, or fancy treating yourself before you set off on your travels? This is the guide to gift buying for those with a passion for travel:
Backpack-
Backpacks are a must as they such an easy way to throw all of your stuff in one place. A small backpack is great for airports as its out of the way and safely across your back keeping close to you and tends to be much comfier than a shoulder bag which often ends up leaving one of your shoulders in pain.

Travel journal –
Of course, you want to remember every moment you experience on your travels and keeping a journal is a great way of making sure you don’t forget anything. Especially for those that are planning a long trip, its harder than you think to remember everything that you get up to. Its also great as a way to jot down all of your plans and create a kind of schedule of where you want to go and what things you want to do when you get there.
Trainers –
Good quality trainers that are going to last on hikes and a lot of walking when travelling can often be expensive so buying these as a gift will I’m sure be greatly appreciated. Trainers can be an essential for those that plan on doing a lot of exploring and for those that love to go on a hike or two.

Camera –
Of course, you will want to capture all of your special memories on camera to look back on in years to come. Yes, it’s true that the majority of smartphones have high quality camera, however having a camera separate to your phone can be helpful just in case the worst was to happen, and you lose the photos on your phone for any reason. Also, your phone storage will be grateful for the switch to a separate camera.

Portable phone charger –
This can be extremely useful when you are on the move and travelling to different locations and can really save you when you are out and about, and your phone battery is low. In developing countries, the public transport system is a little different to the likes of the UK for example and won’t supply you with a plug socket in trains and buses. This is when a portable charger can come in very handy. There is also no guarantee that there will be a lot of plug sockets in the hostel you are staying at, so having this as a backup can be really helpful.
